Lecture Series at Knoxville
By Olive Tree Education (info@olivetreeeducation.org)

On the weekend of Friday, May 2nd, The Muslim Community of Knoxville held a 3 lecture series by Syeikh AbdulBary Yahya. The first two lectures were held in Masjid Annoor (The mosque of light).

In the first lecture which was held after Maghrib prayer on Friday, Syeikh AbdulBary talked about the importance of purifying the soul by having sincerity in our heart. The second lecture was held on Saturday night, where Syeikh AbdulBary Yahya talked about building a prosperous family and community. Syeikh also talked a little bit about a concept in Islam called “Istiqamah” which can be loosely translated as perseverance or being steadfast. A clip of Syeikh AbdulBary explaining this concept is shown below. The final lecture was held for the youth at Annoor Academy. The participation of the youth was amazing where they asked many questions, and were answered by the Syeikh.

3. Believing in the perfectness of His names and attributes.
